Lantern Song
The lantern song "I'm going with my lantern" originates in 19th century in Germany.
It is performed in autumn during processions in honour of the catholic saint Martin of Tours.
In protestant influenced regions the Martin processions relate to the namesday of the reformer Martin Luther.

On the website of UK-German Connection Website - the-voyage - you find some
recordings
