Udo Idelberger
Sound Installation in Art Association Giannozzo, Berlin 1987
To replay the acoustic events of wind driven sound sculptures there
was constructed a sound transducer that transmits the sound as a
vibration on to a string and its connected sound resonators. In the
installation a wire, which is stretched out in the space, is played by
means of two of these sound transducers.
Three sheets of paper are attached to this wire. Simple sheets of paper
hold on one edge fall into funnel-like bodies. They radiate the
vibrations of the wire string as sound into the space. In addition they set
up by themselves their own sound spaces.
