Ohropax
Peace for the ears
Against the noise this classic with the ingenious name is a great and
useful help. The name is a combination of the German word Ohr (ear) and
the Latin word pax (peace).
Maximilian Negwer (born in 1872) invented 1907 in Berlin the Ohropax.
Cotton wool is soaked with a mixture of melted wax. After the cooling
down it is cut into little pieces and these are rolled to balls. To use
the Ohropax you knead these balls for a while and modell them. After that
you put them into your ears to close them.
