65
decibel during the day and 55 decibel during the night: If an exposure
outvalues these values permanently, it gets dangerous. In this case the
risk increases to develope a heart and cardiovascular desease or suffer
a stroke.
All what outvalues 55 decibels is regarded as loud. In the year 2012
around 245 000 residents near main streets were exposed to sound levels,
which exceeded these threshold. This is communicated by the noise action
plan of the Berlin federal state government.
